German Entry Requirements

Not in AP classes? No problem.... you can get into uni in Germany with just SAT scores and a high school diploma. You will need to check before applying as there are always exceptions, but here are the general entry requirements for university in Germany


Academic Requirements: these are relatively similar to American college admissions requirements/ high school graduation requirements

- High School Diploma

- SAT (1300 or higher) or ACT (29+) scores (not always but its worth taking them)

- 4 units English with a minimum grade C (Honors or AP level)

- 2 units Second Language,

- 3 units Social Studies,

- 5 units in total Mathematics and Science:

- 2 or 3 units Mathematics with a minimum grade C (Algebra II or Trigonometry and Precalculus)

- 2 or 3 units Science with a minimum grade C (Biology, Chemistry or Physics)

- 2 academic units free to choose.

Language Requirements:

- you will most likely need to take and pass either the TestDaF or DSH to prove your language proficiency


Other Requirements:

- Prove access to funding (at least 10,332 Euro per year)

- Visa

- Residence permits

- Health Insurance
